The Elements – Fire

 Earth – Metal – Water – Wood

Characteristics

Fire offers comfort and warmth on the one hand but can also destroy and burn if left unattended or allowed to get out of control. It is an element that is powerful and needs to be respected. When using fire it is often wise to use only a small amount to stimulate the Feng Shui cycle you are looking at. Add too much and it can be too powerful. An example would be containing in a hearth or rinmg of stones. This is controlled. If the fire is allowed to get out of hand it can create a forest fire. Add too much fire of the fire element as a Feng Shui cure and it can have a destructive effect instead of a positive one.
